PBC0129: mockery of capitalists

PBC 129 mocks capitalists and capitalist societies around the world in support of the socialist cause. “And what are Paris’s schemes when we have Moscow in our hearts” asks one example while reflecting further, “And as Paris is to us so are London, Vienna, Berlin, Warsaw, and New York” (W384). Some of the same locations are addressed more directly: “Paris tremble before the end! New York, your hour is coming!” (W390). Kazan merchants shout, “Hey, brothers, let’s stand up for the fatherland! We will save our stomachs and righteous profits from final ruination!” (W98).
